II Edição do Festival Vagos Open Air - Novas bandas confirmadas‏

Juntando-se aos já anunciados Carcass e Kamelot, confirma-se mais três novas bandas oriundas da Finlândia: Amorphis, Ensiferum e Ghost Brigade.

Após uma ausência de 15 anos, Amorphis volta a Portugal como uma das bandas do universo heavy metal mais aguardadas pelos fãs nacionais a preencher os palcos do VOA no dia 7 de Agosto apresentando o seu 9º álbum de originais, «Skyforger».

Aos autores de «Eclipse» juntam-se, no mesmo dia, os ingleses Carcass e os norte-americanos Kamelot – os primeiros nomes anunciados para o festival – e os também finlandeses Ghost Brigade. Para 6 de Agosto, estão escalados os Ensiferum.

Formados em 1990 por Jan Rechberger, Tomi Koivusaari e Esa Holopainen como uma banda de death metal, os Amorphis estrearam-se com o álbum «The Karelian Isthmus» (1992), a que se seguiu o EP «Privilege of Evil». Em 1994, com o lançamento de «Tales from the Thousand Lakes», a banda juntou o folclore tradicional, o psicadelismo e elementos progressivos ao death metal e encontrou o som que hoje a define.

Também do ano passado, de Setembro, é o quarto álbum dos Ensiferum, «From Afar», grupo cujos membros definem o som como ''heroic folk metal''. Mais recente é o quinteto Ghost Brigade, que surgiu em 2005 e assinou dois álbuns de estúdio: «Guided by Fire» (2007) e «Isolation Songs» (2009).

Outros nomes serão anunciados brevemente.

Os bilhetes custam 30,00 euros (diário) e 50,00 euros (passe dois dias) e serão postos brevemente à venda nos locais habituais. Uma primeira edição especial de 500 passes que inclui oferta de t-shirt oficial do festival será colocada à venda a partir de 15 de Fevereiro.

Brian Johnson critica Bono e Bob Geldof por apelarem à caridade

Vocalista dos AC/DC defende que as celebridades deviam preocupar-se apenas em fazer as suas próprias doações

Brian Johnson criticou a postura de Bob Geldof e Bono, que, segundo ele, se valem da imagem para pedir dinheiro para a caridade. De acordo com o vocalista dos AC/DC, as celebridades deviam fazer as suas próprias doações em vez de apelarem a quem não tem contas bancárias tão recheadas.

«Eu não digo às pessoas que elas deveriam dar dinheiro - elas não têm possibilidades. Quando eu não era conhecido não gostava de ir a espectáculos em que alguém começasse a dizer que eu deveria pensar nas crianças africanas. Sinto muito, mas enerva-me ver as pessoas usarem a política ou a caridade para fazer publicidade. Façam eventos de beneficência, mas não na televisão mundial», disse Brian Johnson, numa entrevista concedida ao «Melbourne Herald Sun».
