His 1989 follow-up CD, “Repeat Offender,” became even more successful, selling over 7 million copies worldwide. From 1987 to 1990, he became the first male solo artist in history to have his first 7 singles reach the top 5 on Billboard’s singles chart, including the 1 hits “Hold On to the Nights,” “Satisfied” and the worldwide classic, “Right Here Waiting.” This feat remains unchallenged.

He was nominated for Grammy awards 3 times and received an American Music Award nomination for favourite male singer. In the summer of 2006, Richard was asked to join “Ringo Starr’s All-Star Band” for a North American tour of 22 cities. Richard played guitar in the band supporting Ringo and others, including Billy Squier, and performed his own hits at each show. Ringo and Richard recently co-wrote a song for Ringo’s upcoming CD in 2010.

“Inside My Head” is Richard Marx newest cd which includes a number of rare tracks featured on his latest US only releases “Emotional Remains”, “Duo” and “Stories to Tell”. Along with these songs, four brand new tracks were added to create a proper new album which could bring up to speed with the most relevant Richard Marx solo production the European fans. CIRCUS MAXIMUS - Nine [New album]

CIRCUS MAXIMUSNine
Frontiers RecordsRelease: 1 June 2012
Tracklisting: Forging; Architect Of Fortune; Namaste; Game Of Life; Reach Within; I Am; Used;  The One; Burn After Reading; Last Goodbye.

Circus Maximus’ first album, “The First Chapter”, took the metal world by storm in 2005. After 2 demos which received rave reviews in their home country, the band finally debuted with its impeccable Prog Metal sound made of a superb mixture of classic hard rock anthems and progressive technical bits and pieces to the world creating immediately a huge buzz.

On the heels of the release, Circus Maximus performed at the prestigious ProgPower Festival in Atlanta, USA– and the following year people demanded them to return, which they of course did, bringing along their new keyboardist Lasse Finbroten. In 2005 and 2006 the band played lots of gigs and festivals around Scandinaviawith such acts as Jorn, Kamelot, Pagan’s Mind and Glenn Hughes.

In 2007 they came back with an even stronger studio release “Isolate”: a concept album on “how much you can lose until you go completely mad, and how much have lost when insanity finally embraces you”. With a top-notch sound and 9 fantastic songs, the album was a huge step forward and put the band high on top of the Prog Metal genre.

Since then, Circus Maximus spent the past years gigging and further refining their sound. With the release of their anticipated new album, “Nine”, they are poised to take their place alongside the upper echelon of Progressive Metal bands. The band’s musical formula is not easy to accomplish – take jaw dropping musicianship, add a singer like Michael Eriksen with a voice from heaven and toss it together with hooks, anthemic melodies and enough heavy riffing to stick with you for days.

For this new album the band presents the best of both worlds – offering the most melodic and at the same time heaviest moments of their repertoire, but with a class and maturity which is really from another world. “Nine” is an absolute contender as Top Album of the year, transcending the boundaries and subgenres of Hard Rock music. That’s just THIS good – enjoy !

A New Massive AOR Sensation from Sweden ! WIGELIUS to debut with « Reinventions » on Frontiers in June !

A New Massive AOR Sensation from Sweden ! WIGELIUS to debut with « Reinventions » on Frontiers in June !

Frontiers Records is excited to present the debut album from WIGELIUS entitled “Reinventions” due for release on June 29th in Europe and July 2nd in North America.

WIGELIUS is a sensational new AOR band from Sweden built around the talent of Anders Wigelius, a gifted young vocalist who came to the attention of producer Daniel Flores (ISSA, THE MURDER OF MY SWEET, MIND'S EYE) after he sung the popular Journey song "Don't Stop Believin'" in a contest on the national Swedish TV (you can watch his performance following this link:www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDeVbz3Pbcg).

A true Melodic Rock / AOR music fan, Anders grew up with music from Richard Marx, Toto, Journey and Foreigner and played AOR songs covers in a band called GAMBLERS, before going his own way with his own thing. “Since I discovered the joy in writing my own songs and I have been doing it since then” says Anders. “The music of Wigelius is powerful and big: it’s a guitar and drums driven sound, with a strong melodies on top. The arrangements are intricate with some theatrical modern parts, and there’s also a more downscaled side to it with emphasis on an acoustic feel. You can hear influences from Toto, Journey, Van Halen and Whitesnake.”.

Anders is in his early 20's, which is an advantage when creating new ways of marketing modern AOR. He plays guitars and keyboards and also writes music for other bands and has been quite successful with that. His older brother Erik Wigelius, plays drums. This is a hit, hungry, horny and amazingly talented new band, plus they look amazingly good. “I was fortunate to meet some great guys for this band” continues Anders, “but without Daniel Flores, there wouldn’t be Wigelius. We had a blast recording the album and with his experience the songs just kept getting better and better”. The line-up is rounded up by Jake Svensson on guitars and Chris Pettersson on bass.

Wigelius is also all about having fun! Without the enthusiasm for the music and lots of laughs during the process, "Reinventions" would have never sounded as energetic and "big" as it does. The collaboration turned out to be a perfect match of people sharing the same vision in making music together. The best still lie ahead! Everyone in the band is very excited to be a part of it! Harry Hess (ex HAREM SCAREM) mastered the album.

“Reinventions” tracklisting includes: Angeline
Talking About Love
Do You Really Know
; Next To Me; My Cassandra; Piece Of The Action; Too Young To Fall In Love; Right Here, Right Now; Love Can Be That Much; Hold On To Love; There Is No Me Without You; I Reach Out

You can stream now in full the first single “Angeline” on Frontiers Records webradiowww.frontiers.it/webradio and look forward to the band’s videoclip to be launched sometime in June.

Irish HARD ROCK’s finest new band MILLION $ RELOAD to release their second album “A Sinner’s Saint” on Frontiers

Irish HARD ROCK’s finest new band MILLION $ RELOAD to release their second album “A Sinner’s Saint” on Frontiers

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the signing to the label of MILLION $ RELOAD for the release of the band’s second album entitled “A Sinner’s Saint” on June 29th in Europe and July 2nd in North America.

Formed in Northern Ireland in 2005, Million $ Reload started immediately to learn their breed playing live in the local club circuit leaving behind them a trail of fans hungry for more. Their catchy anthemic tunes soon gained them a recording deal, which culminated with the release of the debut album “Anthems Of A Degeneration” in 2008. A tour-de-force of vast hooks, killer riffs and moments of joyous, snake-hipped abandon, with shades of everyone from AC/DC and Aerosmith through to Thin Lizzy and Thunder confirming that these young Irishmen know their history and salute it with style, while also displaying a powerful and compelling character and atmosphere that is all their own.

Million Dollar Reload sound is the culmination of our individual influences : no frills, balls to the wall, straight up rock n roll” says singer Phil Conalane. “Loud guitars , big vocals and the odd guitar solo with killer hooks. We have a definite sound, it’s not a new sound and we are not trying to re-invent the wheel, there are no delusions of grandeur in M$R . We know what we are about. All of us have our own personal influences that clearly can be heard in our songs, AC/DC, Aerosmith, early GNR . We don’t try to emulate those bands, we have our own take on modern day rock n roll, but they are definitely a big influence”.

The band toured heavily in support of the album and shared stages with Thunder, The Darkness, Buckcherry, Papa Roach and more. This has further pushed the band’s abilities and focused their songwriting abilities. The result is the new killer album “A Sinner’s Saint” which has sparkled the attention from the Italian label Frontiers Records which immediately signed the band upon hearing the new stuff the Irish five piece created.

Indeed, from blistering, cocksure sing-alongs like “Blow me away”, “Bullets in the sky” and “Wicked”, through to the irresistible bluesy ballad “Broken”, “A Sinner’s Saint” is a flawless exercise in smart, sassy songwriting and a superb showcase for the electrifying chemistry that exists between these five musicians. You can’t keep a band this good, or an album this strong, down for long, and now that they have started to build momentum once again, Million $ Reload must surely be on the road to rock ‘n’ roll glory. They’ve got the balls, the belief and the tunes to make it happen.

Rock ‘n’ roll is escapism…you can forget about your everyday troubles and woes, rock out, sing and scream along, have a beer and a smoke!” grins Phil Conalane. “It’s nothing new, this kind of balls-out rock ‘n’ roll, but it’s been buried away these last few years because too many people in the industry wrote it off as old fashioned and out of touch, but people are beginning to realise what proper rock ‘n’ roll really is! We’re the real deal and we’re here to stay!

A Sinner’s Saint” will include the following tracklisting : Fight The System; Bullets In The Sky; Blow Me Away; Can’t Tie Me Down; Broken; I Am The Rapture; Wicked; Smoke N Mirrors; Headrush; Pretty People; It Ain’t Over; Protest (Bonus Track).

Enjoy now “Bullets In the Sky” video via the Youtube link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Npj6s8Ns1g (for German fans: vimeo.com/41701460) and listen on the Frontiers webradiowww.frontiers.it/webradio to stream it exclusively !

PLAYER to come back with a new EP and album release on Frontiers

BACK WITH A NEW EP AND ALBUM RELEASE

PLAYER to come back with a new EP and album release on Frontiers

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the signing of PLAYER to the label for the release of a yet untitled new album.
Cover photo credit Devin DeVasquez Moss

Best remembered for "Baby Come Back," a song which topped the US single charts in 1978, Player original lineup included Peter Beckett (guitarist, lead vocalist), J.C. Crowley (guitarist, vocalist), Ronn Moss (bassist, vocalist) and John Friesen (drummer). After extensively playing the club scene in Southern California, Player began to develop a very distinctive edgy, yet very melodic rock style, and was signed by Robert Stigwood to his legendary RSO Records, home to The BeeGees, Eric Clapton, “Saturday Night Fever”, and “Grease”.

Among several notable accolades, Player was named Billboard's Best New Singles Artist of 1978. Eric Clapton became so impressed with Player that he invited them to be the special guest on his 1978 North American tour. They also performed with Heart, Boz Scaggs, Kenny Loggins and Gino Vannelli to name a few.

Player went on to release four albums during their active touring years until 1982. Moss left in 1981 to pursue an acting career, and has starred for the past 25 years on the daytime soap opera “The Bold and the Beautiful”. JC Crowley pursued a career in country Music, while Beckett continued writing for other artists and movie soundtracks. He also did an eight year stint with Little River Band starting in 1990, while releasing an acclaimed solo cd 'Beckett' in 1991.

Beckett got back together with Ronn Moss in 1995, and recorded Player's fifth album, “Lost in Reality” and toured the United States. Since then, Peter has produced, written and played on two solo CDs for Ronn Moss and composed music for “The Bold And The Beautiful”. Player restarted working on new songs and touring together in 2010. The new lineup features again original members Peter Beckett and Ronn Moss together with Rob Math (guitars), Johnny English (keyboards) and Craig Pilo (drums).

Player has not released a cd for over 10 yrs. It's great to actually be creating in the studio for the band once again, as opposed to our many other projects”, says Peter Beckett. “The new album will feature Player's three part harmony very prominently and include the usual blend of rock and big melodies”.

Ronn Moss adds: “It’s been quite a while since our last record release. Feels great to finally be making new music. I’d say the “stuff of life” has played an integral part of influencing all non-musical activities the last several years. Personal endeavours, other work related ventures, and just being downright lazy, have all played a part in why we haven’t done this sooner than now. But in “now’s” defense, sometimes one has to wait until “now” happens before you can actually be there.

As a special appetizer to the new release, and in connection with a promotional trip in Italy where Peter and Ronn will appear on several major radio and TV shows in the first week of May, Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the worldwide digital release only of a 3-songs EP entitled “My Addiction” on April 30th.

The EP will also include, along with the title track, “Too Many Reasons” and a new recording of “Baby Come Back” and sets the pace for the new album’s release which is planned for the second half of 2012.

“My Addiction - as well as “Too Many Reasons” - came from co-writing sessions between Beckett and Steve Plunkett. “ I have written tons of songs with "Plunk" over the last 20 years and will continue to do so. We sifted through our joint efforts to see what would fit Player” tells Peter. "Addiction" seemed to be a great choice. This song title was actually stolen from one of our other songs. The other song was actually about addiction. This one is a love song and a lot easier to listen to.

You can order / preorder “My Addiction” now on iTunes following this link:http://itunes.apple.com/it/preorder/addiction-single/id519148672

“My Addiction” sample can be listened following this link:http://www.frontiers.it/m/uploads/audios/player-myaddiction-sample.mp3

The EP can also be purchased via Amazon worldwide, eMusic and all other digital retailers all over the world. The song “My Addiction” can be streamed in full on the Frontiers Records webradio: www.frontiers.it/webradio

With 30 million records sold, 3 Grammy Awards nominations, a Grammy Award for “Song of the Year” and an American Music Award nomination for favourite male singer Marx, who has written fourteen #1 songs and had thirteen US #1 songs on the Billboard charts, has remained a fixture on pop and adult contemporary radio for years.

Marx was the first male solo artist in history to have his first 7 singles reach the top 5 on Billboard’s singles chart, including the 1 hits “Hold On to the Nights,” “Satisfied” and the worldwide classic “Right Here Waiting.” This feat remains unchallenged. The second, bonus CD contains amazing new versions of 12 of Marx’s greatest hits, including “Right Here Waiting”, “Angelia”, “Don’t Mean Nothing” and “Keep Coming Back”.

Marx added: “I wanted to have new recordings of my classic tracks because, while they were all fun to revisit and sing and play again, in a few cases I felt they needed some updating. HARDLINE - Danger Zone

HARDLINEDanger Zone
Frontiers RecordsRelease: 18 May 2012
Release dates:
EU: May 18th 2012
NA: May 22th 2012

Tracklisting: Fever Dreams; 10.000 Reasons; Danger Zone; What I'd Like; Stronger Than Me; Never Too Late For Love; Stay; I Don't Want To Breakaway; Look At You Now; Please Have Faith In Me; Show Me Your Love; The Only One.

Hardline was formed when brothers Johnny (vocals) and Joey (guitar) Gioeli, originally from the band Brunette, teamed up with Journey/Bad English guitarist Neal Schon. The original plan was for Neal to produce Hardline, but as he was having so much fun that he decided to join the band as soon as he left Bad English.
They immediately added established musicians Todd Jensen (David Lee Roth, Alice Cooper) on bassand Deen Castronovo (also coming from Bad English) on drums to the mix and the result was magnificent. They went on to record their debut album “Double Eclipse” for MCA in 1992 and then went on the tour circuit with such heavy hitters as Van Halen and Mr. Big.
The first single from “Double Eclipse” was the song "Hot Cherie". While never popular in the mainstream, various radio stations worldwide started to play it and Hardline's fanbase started to grow. They released a video to MTV, but did not get much airplay. By that time grunge and alternative had already taken over and Melodic Rock was being pushed aside. Tension among band members, the record company and perhaps certain egos, got in the way of an immediate follow-up album, despite the band having written more than enough material.
While Neal re-started his adventure with Journey in 1995 (again together with Deen Castronovo), Johnny stepped out of the music business eventually to return as Axel Rudi Pell’s singer in 1998 on the album “Oceans Of Time”.
But years later Johnny and his brother Joey were ready to give it another go with Hardline after the call of Frontiers Records, and with an all new line-up they produced the awesome return album “II” in 2002 with Josh Ramos(of The Storm and Two Fires fame) taking Neal Schon’s place on lead guitar.
Hailed by critics and fans alike as a topreturn, the band returned on stageheadlining the GODS Festival in Bradfordin June 2002, before Johnny and Josh started to work on new songs which eventually saw the light of day on the “Leaving the End Open” album released on Frontiers in may 2009.
While it became apparent after the release of the third album that the band would risk again to go into hibernation, it was thanks to the persistence of the band’s #1 fan, Frontiers Records President Serafino Perugino that Gioeli decided to give Hardline another go. That happened when he heard the songs that the Italian songwriter and producer Alessandro Del Vecchio (Edge of Forever) started to write for him. Surprised and excited with the quality of the music, Hardline  has now turned to a different beast and with a European based line-up featuring Francesco Iovino (UDO), Thorsten Kohene (Code Of Perfection, Eden's Curse) and Anna Portalupi (Mitch Malloy), Hardline are now back with its strongest release since the debut album !

Alessandro Del Vecchio - keyboards and backing vocals

The love and passion for their music has never faltered. Re-charged and re-focused, Great White channels their raw, sweet and all-at-once dangerous sound into their soon-to-be released collection. Set to come out May 2012 from Frontiers Records, Elation is the band’s 12th studio album. Elation thrives on Great White’s signature grit and blues-hued sound, only marked with a new synergy.

Featuring original members, Mark Kendall (guitar), Michael Lardie (guitar, keyboards), Audie Desbrow (drums) and joined by lead singer Terry Ilous and bassist Scott Snyder the group emerged unscathed from late 2011 band member changes. Best known for the 1989 smash “Once Bitten, Twice Shy,” Great White’s worldwide sales are approaching 10 million. Their song arsenal also includes  “Rock Me,” “Save Your Love,” “The Angel Song,” “Mistabone” and more!

Elation is just the recording of what live audiences will see and hear as a band with a new mission.  “This is a new birth of the band,” Desbrow says. “I wanted to call the album ‘Tabula Rasa’ which means rebirth, but we went for ‘Elation’ because of the euphoria in the atmosphere. It’s a fresh and healthier start than ever before. I’m like a kid in a candy store.”

Kendall, one of rock’s most notable guitarists, echoed Desbrow’s pure excitement. “The energy in the studio is amazing,” Kendallsays. “This is the most excited I’ve been since I was nine-years-old and got my first guitar. It's remarkable to be doing our third record with Frontiers Records and to feel the love and support from Serafino and his team. They are truly part of the Great White family."

Lardie, who also served as Elation’s producer, applauded the band’s teamwork in the studio. He was struck by the group’s song writing approach and enthusiasm, and assures fans will embrace the record.

“The difference in this studio experience was simple. Everyone was completely present and contributed to the making of this album. As a producer, I feel my part is to get the best out of each of us and I got better than anyone’s best!”

We’re very pleased with, and confident about XXX,” says John Wetton. “It encapsulates, lyrically and instrumentally, the essence of ASIA today. However, it is the very same four people that gave you the original, iconic album 30 years ago. If you loved it then, you will love it now.

We wanted to recapture the energy of the first album,” adds ASIA’s guitarist, Steve Howe. “ASIA has always been about great songs, and fantastic musicianship. I’m sure fans of the first album, will fall in love with XXX.

JORN - THE MESSIAH OF GREAT HEAVY ROCK MUSIC IS BACK!

THE MESSIAH OF GREAT HEAVY ROCK MUSIC IS BACK!

The Messiah of great Heavy Rock music is back: JORN to release “Bring Heavy Rock To The Land” on Frontiers in June

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the release of a brand new JORN studio album : "Bring Heavy Rock To The Land" on June 1st in Europe and June 5th in North America.

Following a three year silence since the release of "Spirit Black", JORN unleashes upon the world yet another original studio album "Bring Heavy Rock To The Land": another slab of classic Hard Rock with Metal elements! "I think this album follows a similar JORN-tradition like those before, more Heavy Rock oriented than Metal" says Jorn "But as usual it's not one musical expression all the way through the album, but a variety of musical landscapes within the categories of Rock and Metal".

A winning formula should not change, so Jorn has again worked with Tommy Hansen at Jailhouse Studios in Denmark, who mixed the album, ensuring the right edge to the rich guitar and vocal sound that is now trademark to all JORN releases. The lineup sees the return of Jimmy Iversen on guitar who also appeared on "Spirit Black". The pairing with Tore Moren works really well and gives Jorn's sound the usual depth and solidity.

As usual, in addition to the original material, Jorn offers some interesting covers. This time Masterplan’s "Time to Be King" and Christopher Cross’ "Ride Like The Wind" are the ones to get the Jorn treatment. "When we wrote "Time To Be King" I heard a different and more rock oriented arrangement in my mind" tells Jorn, "so after the Masterplan album was released I couldn't stop thinking about how it would sound if it was recorded with this other arrangement. I don't know which one's better, I have ended up liking both versions. As to Christopher Cross, I have always loved "West Coast" oriented music and bands like 10cc, Pages, Santana, Little River Band, Eagles and so on. So I thought "Ride Like The Wind" would be a good song to do Jorn style. Saxon also released a version of this song in the 80's, and the arrangement we made ended up beeing a mix between the original version and Saxon's. It's also a fun song to sing and play".

Jorn Lande’s strong and diverse voice and solid songwriting skills have now become legendary in the Hard Rock world. In a career spanning over close to 40 album releases, as frontman for Ark and Masterplan, in addition to featuring on spectacular projects such as Nostradamus The Rock Opera, Beyond Twilight "The Devil’s Hall of Fame", Tobias Sammet’s "Avantasia" and Ayreon.

"If you buy a Jorn album today, you know what you will get" states Jorn Lande. You are guaranteed to get your adrenaline going with the riveting sound that has solid roots in classic hard rock/heavy metal music, such as Dio, Black Sabbath, Rainbow and Whitesnake. “Bring Heavy Rock To The Land” will include the following songs: My Road; Bring Heavy Rock To The Land; A Thousand Cuts; Ride Like The Wind; Chains Around You; The World I See; Time To Be King; Ride To The Guns; Black Morning; I Came To Rock; Live And Let Fly (bonus track).

The title track "Bring Heavy Rock To The Land" (Click here to listen to the sample)
will be released as a single worldwide on May 14th and can be exclusively listened to in streaming on the Frontiers Records webradio www.frontiers.it/webradio - A videoclip for the song is in the works and will be directed by Thomas Tjäder (Pretty Maids, In Flames).

According to Jorn: "The title track has really a strong Jorn trademark. It was a natural choice for a title track, I felt the same about "Lonely Are The Brave" back in 2008. Sometimes one song's got the magic and you just know it. "Bring Heavy Rock To The Land" is such a song and regardless of how the whole album is evaluated by critics, I feel that this song will live on and become an essential Jorn classic !"

Jorn will appear live in selected shows in Europe during the summer.
